Our Team

Our Story

Previously known as Clendenin Bird & Company, PC, the firm was founded in Modesto, in California’s Central Valley, by Gerald “Jerry” Clendenin and Constance “Connie” Bird and has been operating since 1977. Our aim then, as it is now, was to provide quality service associated with large national firms with the personal client relationships expected of a small, local firm.

In 2009, Michelle Gallagher, CPA, and Cathy Gatewood, EA, were added as additional partners and have since become sole owners of the company. Today our staff includes Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents with the IRS, staff accountants and bookkeepers with clients throughout California and beyond.

Our firm is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs.
